Rachael shares a bit about herself and her work below.



My mission is simple: to help people and organisations reach their fullest potential. Whether you’re a leader striving to be your best, a coach looking to develop your practice, or an organisation aiming to create the ideal environment for growth and performance, I believe that everyone can achieve their goals when empowered with the right tools and knowledge.

I focus on evidence based, scientifically informed approaches to understanding and improving human behaviour. By applying psychological principles, I guide individuals and organisations to better understand what works, what doesn't, and how they can change to perform at their best.

Through my work, I help clients cultivate environments that foster personal and collective growth, whether that’s within a leadership team, a coaching practice, or a workplace setting. My approach emphasises the importance of the environment – both internal (how we think and feel) and external (the cultures and systems we work within) – in supporting sustainable and successful changes.

My Approach

I’ve spent years helping individuals and organisations improve their performance, wellbeing, and overall effectiveness. I believe in empowering people with insights that help them take ownership of their own learning and development. The goal isn’t just to help you meet your immediate objectives, but to equip you with the tools to keep growing long after our work together.

Coaching

I work with individuals through coaching to explore what's working, what isn’t, and what could be different. This process often involves looking at personal values, goals, and how people can overcome barriers to achieve better focus, decision-making, and performance. My expertise in Acceptance and Commitment Coaching helps people create lasting change by developing a healthier relationship with their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.

Leadership Development

I support leadership development for individuals and organisations looking to enhance their leadership capabilities. I focus on both the psychological and behavioural aspects of leadership; helping leaders to understand their own values, develop self-awareness, and improve how they interact with others. This is about helping leaders connect with their teams, inspire action, and create high-performance environments.

A big part of my work involves helping organisations build a culture of sustainable high performance. This includes creating environments where people are not only engaged and productive but also supported in maintaining wellbeing. I work with leaders to strike the right balance between performance and recovery, ensuring their teams have the right resources to thrive and avoid burnout.

Coach Supervision and Training

For coaching professionals and psychologists, I offer training and supervision through my business, Cognus Consulting. I provide training specialising in Acceptance and Commitment Coaching and evidence based coaching.

In addition, I offer supervision for coaches to deepen their practice, build new skills, and refine their approach.

My Philosophy

In all the work I do, the goal is to empower people to make better decisions, try new things, and explore new ways of thinking and behaving. I use behavioural science to help people better understand how they think, why they get stuck, and how to break through those barriers. By exploring your personal values, your goals, and the psychological dynamics at play, I help you create the right environments for effective and sustainable change.
